AHS Mental Health Capacity Building (MHCB) is a health program that works to promote positive mental health in children. I presented programs to the students @ Alder Flats, Buck Mountain, and Winfield this past school year. The focus of the programs was based on the need of the classroom. Programs can address stress/anxiety, healthy interactions/friendships, building resiliency, growth mindset, healthy well-being, mindfulness, etc...I will be facilitating programs for the 2020-2021 school year (hopefully in the schools) again at all 3 schools.
I want to inform the families we are organizing summer programming online for students. It will run weekly throughout the summer and students can register for the week/s that work for them. Information on the summer programming will be posted on our FACEBOOK page-WRPS Wellness Support Team. Registration dates will be posted closer to the summer, keep in mind, it will be a 1st come, 1st serve basis, so keep checking our page for that information.
I have enclosed a list of links for activities/resources and youtube videos for families to utilize over the summer to help pass the time.
Hope to see the kiddos in September.
