Welcome to another wonderful start to the new school year. The Winfield School Parent Council/Fundraising Committee runs a fantastic hot lunch program for our students and staff. It is used as a fundraiser for the school, to provide funding for some of the items listed on the previous letter from the Parent Council. We use parent volunteers and prepare hot lunches every Wednesday at reasonable costs to the students

The Winfield School Parent Council/Fundraising Committee has made the decision to move to an online ordering system for our fabulous hot lunch program. Please follow the directions outlined below to register your students.

Here’s How:

  1. Go to http://winfieldschool.parentcouncil.net
  2. Click the "REGISTER" menu at the top right-hand corner to sign up.
  3. Enter your name, email address and phone, then a user id that you will use for access to the hot lunches application. Enter a password and then enter it again to verify that it is correct.
  4. Once registered, you will be logged into the website
  5. Please add your students by clicking on the "STUDENTS" button below or the "PROFILE" menu tab in order to proceed. Once your students have been added to the system you will be able to place lunch orders immediately by clicking the "Order" button below each child's name.

Not participating in hot lunch?  We encourage you to register even if your child does not participate so that you are able to receive emails and reminders from the Home & School.

As in past years, you may place an order for any or all lunch dates, and paper order forms will still be accepted.  A supply of paper forms is available in the office. You must special request if you require one, please send a note in your child’s agenda.

You may pay online by credit card through Bambora, you will enter your credit card information on the website, you do not need a Bambora account to pay with this method. They are similar to PayPal, but are located in British Columbia, all data is kept in Canada. Bambora is recognized worldwide, and are more secure than any other payment gateway, with fees that are lower than PayPal, there will be small transaction fees added to your order if this is your payment method. E-transfer (wsfctreasurer@outlook.com), cheque and cash are also still accepted forms of payment.  We ask that you still input your order online and simply print out a ‘Remittance Form’. Then send it to the school, along with your cash, or a cheque payable to Winfield School Fundraising Committee, but please make sure to place in a well labeled ziplock or sealed envelope, these payments will all be manually added to your online account by the Hot Lunch Coordinators. All orders and payments must be received by October 29, 2021 so that orders can be processed on time, and the volunteers are able to plan and prepare their hot lunches.

Deadline to order for the first lunch this term is October 29th, 2021. This schedule is for all hot lunches prior to Christmas Break (November-December).

(Please note: don’t combine your milk money with hot-lunch money.)

Remember, that late orders will not be accepted. The parent volunteers greatly appreciate you working with this new system, it will mean much less administration for the hot lunch program. There are also opportunities to volunteer with the lunches. The option is available on the order form as a check box. Maximum volunteers are set for each hot lunch, and after the spaces are filled, the system will not allow any further volunteers to register, so if you are interested, please make sure to submit your orders soon. Our volunteers need time to shop and plan for the appropriate number of portions. You can always call or text Carolyn at 780-234-4300 if you have any problems.
